Anyone purchased a strap from Couch? Lordy, these straps are superb, just received one for my bday and it's easily one of the coolest I've seen.

Not only solid construction and tasteful vintage vibe, but some of the "deadstock" materials they use are just mesmerizing. Mine is made of '60's Mustang trunk liner, cool gray/black plaid pattern. If you haven't already (which I'm sure many of you have), you should take a look at their selection.

Want one badly but I don't think they are nitro-friendly.

Hmm...I'm scurr'd. Maybe I could glue some gauze or something to the inside part of the tabs.

I almost bought a couple of them a few weeks ago, but I just couldn't justify spending the money. My shitty straps do the job for what I need (at home playing). Some day when I have some extra money sitting around I'll do it.

I use their seatbelt straps on my basses. Way cool, and dirt cheap.

I have one of their other straps for my camera, and its really really great too.

Should be getting a new strap and wallet in the mail today. : D

I just need to decide what strap to get for my cyclone

I've also got one of those 80's mercedes wallets, really cool material.

Four straps, a wallet and a belt. So, yeah, I dig Couch a bit.

This was my concern when I received it, considered putting felt or something on the tabs too. I called and talked to the guys at Couch who said that after selling thousands of straps, they have not had any complaints about damage to a nitro finish. They did recommend removing the strap before storing the guitar in a case obviously, but as far as normal use, I think the nitro finish will be safe.

When it comes to Gibson's nitro finish, their manual states no leather or vinyl should be used. What does Gibson expect people to use, cotton weave straps? Seems the end tabs of nearly every strap are made out of leather or vinyl.
