Naked Strings

I just got an email from PG about some promo for naked strings...free shipping, pretty cheap too.
They have a fancy app that lets you create a custom set (pick your gauges).
There's an option for 7string/baritone/bass as well.
No flatwounds (yet), but it still looks great, especially for the price...

At about $3 a set they seem pretty appealing, especially since you can pick the individual gauges.

wish they had an option for steel or nickel on bass.

I rely on d'addario to tell me what string gauges go together... I have no idea what I would pick if I could choose them individually.

I've always been a DR fan myself but I am definitely going to give these a try as my next few sets.

Went with 11.5 - 15 - 24w - 42 - 44 - 56 for my normal guitars
and 13 - 16 - 26w - 38 - 50 - 60 for the bari
Will post once they arrive though I suspect they will sound like guitar strings

That custom gauge thing is a great idea, and they're cheap too! Wish they shipped outside the USA/Canada...

I'd say as good as the slinkys they replaced. Really love the wound g.
For the price you can't really go wrong. My new custom gauge feels right, dunno if I can go back.
High e got shitty fast, though I did drop a steak on the guitar a few days after restringing

I've been using them too. Should have gone with a wound G. D :
They're good stuff. I dunno what to compare them to, since... I don't care... but yeah, they're neat.
