Holding down the tap switch will send the Strymon delays into self oscillation, but they don't have an effect loop... that is until they release the Timeline.

In your defense, delays tend to be more expensive than fuzz pedals so require more justification.

It looks like you have to pay up front when ordering direct. I got mine through a dealer that had them in stock. They seem to send out small batches to dealers every now and then. So you could just keep a look out there rather than shell out the $260 and have to wait 3 months.

Maybe I'm just crazy, but the Timeline doesn't appeal to me too much. I love my El Cap, but I feel that it's got enough options already (and I don't think I really use it to its full extent as it is). But yeah, the abilitly to hold down the tap button to get the El Cap to self-oscillate is a great feature and is somewhat similar to having a built in feedback loop, so I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend getting one.

And as an aside, my current favourite feature of the El Cap is the stereo output. I bought myself a second amp recently and it sounds just gorgeous in stereo.

Yeah, I looooove my El Cap too. It is the best sounding delay I've ever played, and I've had my share. My wife just traded her DMM for a Brig, and it is completely different sounded, but equally as awesome. To be able to have a delay with both of those algorithms would awesome. Plus an addition of at least 10 other delay settings. If the Lo-fi setting sounds have as cool as the Zvex Lo-fi Loop Junkie that would be a wet dream come true. Plus the option of Stereo In/Out, not just out, or a feedback loop. Looks like you can have multiple banks for presets, a more functional looper, and a lot more knobs for tweaking. Call me a fanboi, but this looks like the greatest delay pedal ever. I'm just cringing at the thought of what the price might be.

The Rock And Roll Workshop Dual Delay doesn't have a built-in momentary, but it does have stereo outs with sends and returns and EXP inputs for each side. All kinds of possibilities with these.

I googled the strymon its gonna be $449 but no loop so
I did however come up with a brilliant and simple way to wire up the two expression jacks on the diomond to a box with a joystick and a clean blend on the return. I have figured out that since 100k volume pedals actually work as expression pedals. and joysticks come in 100k. also the feedback loop is on an insert cable. a breakout box could eliminate the need for insert cable AND have the ability to assign one of the x or y axis like a 2 input mixer. like a dry/wet control for the effects in the loop of my delay, but on a JOYSTICK also switchable would be playing the feedback volume and time to x and y. or I could just keep it simple and have the delay time as its own regular expression pedal. can you pickure this? its just attenuators on a joystick.
