Bass Phaser Question...

So right now I have a Blackout Effectors Whetstone which I got recently in a trade. Love this pedal but it's fucking huge and wayyyy too many options on it. Confuses the shit out of me. I've ran through demo's, used different settings and got what I wanted, but I feel like I'm using this pedal for just one sound is a waste when it can do so much more. I love the sound of a phaser that swoosh is amazing. So I'm looking for suggestions of something that is smaller and simpler. Something that can achieve the same sound but isn't huge and doesn't have a 100 knobs. I know right???
I've also owned a Small Stone, loved it, but didn't like the size either. Any suggestions???? Oh and bass friendly is a HUGE plus.

They actually don't sound the same

the nano is too "clear" for a SS
Let me ask this since I own a WS and 2 SS.... What is the "one" setting on the WS that you like? that would like really help and stuff.

Script MXR Phase 90, Phase 45, or the Phase 100.....or the Whirlwind orange box phaser.
Or if you have the money and want a little more phaser but less than a Whetstone (and envelope in one) Pigtronix EP-2 works great on bass!! See here:

Sorry, this is just my current GAS.
But the Script are pretty transparent and do well on bass, not too overbearing or high end-swell heavy

EQD Grand Orbiter rules so god damn hard on bass.
Then you put some fuzz into it and

Here is the exact settings I have for it right now. It makes kind of a swoosh sound. I use it with a fuzz (primarily my new Fuzzhugger) also add a little Tremolo in there. Sounds very tripped out I guess. Love the way it sounds, but like I said I'm basically wasting the pedal IMO by only using it for one effect. Not really digging the ring mod or any other mode.

Ok that really helps.
First... you have it on vibe so I wold recommend checking out a few vibe pedals for fun, and also the Rotovibe, really cool pedal.
Also you have it on 2 stage, my #1 phase for ever is a MXR Phase 45 which is 2 stage, also maybe look at the nebula by mojo hand....
Actually I didn't find the WS all the supper bass friendly on some settings, I love it on guitar but for bass I think the moog beats it hands down, but that doesn't help you on the size thing

Neat! That makes me want to ask if they could do a 2 stage mod to it, if they would I'd be all over that, I've never been the biggest fan of phase 90's but the 45 is like my favorite phase, and I know people have done 90>45 mods before so... interesting...

If you happen to ask them, please let me know what they say! I'd be very interested in something like that.

So true. I love the russian SS's but the nano's are meh, IMO. Have yet to try any of the earliest ones, but of the ones I have played they all sounded different.
Sorry I can't really help the OP much.

If i'm honest, i've never tried a Real Small Stone or a Nano, I was only going off positive reviews of it and the request for smaller size. Only tried the Bad Stone which I loveeee, Jrmy being the awesome fellow he is though is sorting me out with a Small Stone to try... and forward my EHX research
