Don't know if there are people liking Eventide, I guess there are, so they have a new product called Space, sounds interesting :joy: (the description that is)

Text taken from http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/eventide/stompboxes/space

Eventide's new Space stompbox features 12 of the company's signature reverb combination effects taken from the H8000FW and Eclipse V4 along with some startling new sounds. These unique delays, pitch shifting, tremolo, modulation, and special effects, previously available only in Eventide rack processors, are now available in a compact, roadworthy package. The 12 signature Eventide reverb combo algorithms include: Room, Spring, Plate, Hall, Shimmer, Reverse, DualVerb, ModEchoVerb, MangledVerb, Blackhole, TremeloVerb, and DynaVerb. Space's software is upgradeable via USB 2.0, and it's MIDI-controllable via USB or MIDI in, out/thru. Other features include: instant program change; real-time control with ten knobs, MIDI, or Expression Pedal; tap tempo and MIDI clock sync; 100 factory presets, unlimited through MIDI; true analog bypass; rugged cast metal construction; reliable metal footswitches for instant preset access; mono or stereo operation; guitar or line-level inputs and outputs; and a programmable HotSwitch.

The fact that they are actively updating the pedals bodes well for this series. If only they could drop their prices a bit.

I love reveeeeeeeerb. Can't wait to hear it. MangledVerb and Blackhole are especially tempting based on names alone.

MangledVerb is awesome! A lot of you guys will love it. Very Shoegazey. You can hear it on some of the videos for the Eventide Eclipse.

I really like his enthusiasm with the effect, and how he discusses it. Great freakin sound. Space is officially GAS material.

Eventide has a very, very good record of supporting legacy product. How that lasts for its most mass-market products (this pedal series) might not track as well, but I wouldn't expect orphans in the near term.

Funny that there are links to the Eclipse clips since I was just thinking: By the time you pay for all the Factors and the Space, you're in the zone to buy an Eclipse. Worth thinking about if you want all the pedals. Figure your form-factor and function needs (like whether you need more than 2 effects at a time) to figure out what works for you. I'm probably better off with the pedals for better luddite tweaking and flexibility in placement. That and it's easier to get a few hundred at a time past the wife to purchase them.

Oh man - I've often seen the appeal of Eventide stuff without actually lusting after them, but this makes me go      100%

Then again, unless I order all pedals at once, it's four boxes rather than one box. Hmm.
