Line 6 M9 Nerds (aka: your settings)...

I just got this a couple of days ago. So far I like it, but haven't bonded with it yet. I guess it's going to take lots of tweaking and fiddling around.

Any cool settings you folks can share? (Reverbs, delays phasers, whatever!). I am looking for some cool washy reverbs. Also, I heard that putting EQ after distortions can make them sound better? (Though I don't use or need it for distortion).

I'll post some settings when I get back home... BUt off the top of my head, I love the script and barberpole phaser, tape echo dry thru, analog delay w/ mod, digital delay w/ mod and like all the other delays, cave and plate reverb, and the rat model (i think its classic distortion). I would spend a lot of time twisting knobs and such. ONe thing I did when I first got mine was set the looper to pre effects (that means the looper is in the signal chain before all the effects) and then play with different settings and models.

Have fun exploring!

I was really surprised with the analog delay w/mod. I got it very close to sounding like my echolution.

Thanks for the ideas, keep it coming guys :)

The lo-fi delay is pretty awesome too. Especially with a small bit of Vib before it.

Yeah I'm really liking the lo-fi delay. Even the tube echo sounds rad. I LOVE the plate verb.

I spent a good 4 hours with it today, I don't know what I was thinking the past few days because this thing is incredible. I'm freaking loving this now.

The tube comp is really helpful as a booster.

i love my M9 to death, especially the lofi delay. i accidentally bumped up the feedback on it tho, and didn't realize it, so there was this mean oscillation sound, so i turned it down. i really like the cave echo, and all of the verbs impress me to some extent, especially the particle verb, but i found you should use one of the compressors in unison with it. i use a Boss DD-7 for my digital delays and oscillations, and i tend to not use any of the drives. i'm just starting to play around with the modulations, but then again i bought it primarily for the delays and verbs and i'm not disappointed at all. it actually inspires me to play guitar more, which i also love. and the looper is pretty self explanatory. i haven't even begun to explore all of the options with it, and i've had it about 3 weeks.

I fuck with my m13 for about an hour or two a day and I have had it for two weeks now. Im still getting the hang of it! SOOOOO much! Some of the synths sound a little thin but with some comp. and fuzz they seem to fatten right up. OH the Jet Fuzz Fucking rules! expression pedal controlling the speed and :joy:
