Switch to KT tubes?

Okay, I have a Traynor YBA200, and I swapped the 6550's for KT88's, and it sounds like sonic boobs blasting from my speakers. I also have a Fender Bassman 300 head (both are bass amps) and I'm wondering if I should do the same? Anyone done this? Furthermore, for guitar I have an Orange OR50 head with the stock EL34's, and I'm thinking about swapping for KT77's. Again, anyone have experience with this setup?

For reference, I'm planning on going with JJ's, as they kick dicks in the Traynor.

I had an old AOR prolead which I switched the el34's for kt 77's. Made the lowend a bit more firm and slightly more headroom. That amp didn't have much headroom anyway, but your Orange might do a bit better on that. I thought it was a good upgrade.

Cool, thanks! Luckily, the 77's are like 50 bucks for a pair, and my OR50 only needs a pair. The Bassman needs a sextet of 88's, which i paid $180 plus tax for a quartet! Tubes man... Dang...
