Many probably have seen this already. Everybody should. Since it's now possible, let's watch it and learn from Adrians use of fx.

I don't need to watch those to know that they rule face.
But I will spend some time with them later.

My band played a gig a year ago and the coolest thing about it was that Adrian had played the same venue the night before. I was looking at the venue's poster/calendar that they do every month and thought it was quite cool that my band and Adrian Belew were on the same poster.

Don't sell yourself short, Belew. That carnival on crack sound is dope as shit!
Interestingly, my favourite sound of his is is the one which he deems to be the most useless.
I could actually see myself use it in the context of my band.

I'm convinced one of the requirements for being in King Crimson is that you have to have absolutely no emotion, and still manage to be a creative genius.
That was both horrible and beautiful. What the hell.

Are you kidding me?

There is so much emotion and passion in every album King Crimson has done. They have very delicate pieces, and sporadic angry segments. They have happy songs, incredibly melancholy songs, and everything in between. The word schizophrenic I think has become synonymous in describing their music. Any moment they can completely change the feel and vibe of a song. To me, their music covers every avenue of "emotional."

Yarp. I'm generally in the Prog = Boring + Soulless camp but King Crimson are an amazing rock n' roll band who just happen to be extraordinary talented. If I can't
feel a band I immediately lose interest, but KC has always given me erections of epic proportion.
Larks' Tongues in Aspic is just dripping with emotion. I mean they use a bowl of pistachios in one song. Have you ever eaten pistachios?! So good!!!

prog = boring + soulless

haven't heard that one though it might be because I'm usually so hard for my favorite prog bands people must feel like sparing me the sarcasm.
Anyhow it's crap, of course,

and I'd like to make (the obvious) notice

that it's a boring and soulless slogan that goes for any style of music.
The Sturgeon law states clearly that 90% of EVERYTHING is crap. So Iguess we can leave it to that and

explain the 10% left with simply bad taste.

I think you misunderstood what Spunks was saying.
As far as talking and being a person, emotionless
Musically brilliant, "creative genius" with instruments and what.
