Sunny Day Delay Question.

I have been tying my best to bond with My EHX Dlx Memory Boy but it is just not producing the delay sound I want with my bass.
I am looking for delay sound that has a warm body too it, can the SDD do that?
and a bucket of chicken?

The SDD is a really dark delay if thats what you want then yes it can do that.

Hey Max,
It's a tough question since it's all so relative to a person's idea of bright/dark/warm plus their rig, plus how they use delay and their rig... my goal with the SDD is to have warm, laid back repeats that filter away smoothly as the repeats go on although I think I set the SDD up to be a bit brighter than maybe some others. It's sort of what we all go for with the PT2399 delays though since it's just inherent in the chip design, that high end filtering, so you have some very solid options out there... lots you can check out in Portland I bet too, although we don't have pedals in a store there yet.
If you order a SDD from us I'll send it in a KFC 20 piece bucket, piping hot, with fries and gravy and coleslaw.

SOLD!!!!
Right now I am using delay for two things:
My soloesc pieces that use a lot of pitch harmonics, I love how it sounds with delay on the end of that.
And having a wee bit of decay on my dirt, I have been adding both trem and delay on the end of my dirt boxes and sounds way too cool.
My birthday is in February so I may order mine from you for the birthday discount
Any cool deal for a brotha that could hook you up with any local Portland music stores to sell your fine wares? I am a part time sales man by trade

Right on, February would be perfect timing for the next round of direct orders too... a birthday plan is born!
I'd like to work with a store in Portland for sure, hopefully in 2011 when we have another couple pedals available like the mini-RRRs.

You had a really early one that had two outputs, right? I wonder what you'd think of the current version vs that old version, it had some crudities about it. But sometimes I miss the super lo-fi-ness of it since it had a longer delay rate... super lo fi though, too gnarly for the general public I decided.

I wanted to pay full price so that an awesome builder can make more pedals and feed the children.

yep. when i'm next in london i'll make sure to try it out. i noticed you put a depth knob on there - very cool idea

i always thought the preset modulation depth was a bit too subtle for my liking.
