alright so i just went throught the list of artists first act has made guitars for, wtf? theres a buttload of artists from good bands who i wouldve never thought played a first act. I mean my view of first act is that theyre the guitars sold at toys are us and target for like 50 bucks for little kids. Do they actually make quality stuff? anyone ever play a good one?

ya seems that way, after checking the websites online store, they got some guitars selling for 2 grand, i wonder if they're worth it

Now i believe my friend when he told me that the guitarist for comeback kid was using a first act guitar

I have played a couple of the first acts they made for the dudes from mastodon and i played a black yamaha sg2000 type deal they made for high on fire....really nice stuff. From what i hear the custom shop prices are actually really reasonable, especially if youre in a band. I would have no problem at all shelling out the money they ask for their guits if i had it. If you dont have gas for this guitar (minus the color maybe) theres something wrong with you.

I find it weird that there is no middle ground with FA... you shoot straight from the asstacular $50 Toys'R'Us special to the SFA Delia LS at just under a grand! Where is the $499 solidbody that convinces me it is not a toy but does not force me to plan and budget for the dang purchase? Their custom jobs look nice as hell (that Ice Blue Lola doublecut is

), but I would like to test the waters for less than a house payment.

I'm not a big fan of doublenecks but that Rick style thing looks sweet.
I also have to add I LOVE The Life Aquatic. I did some paintings of Steve Zissou in high school. I get all sentimental when I watch it..

They make these badass custom 9-string guitars (12 string - 3 strings, only the first 3 are doubled) for High On Fire and Mastodon...I'd kill for one of those.
