Fixing a blown pedal?

The other day i did something very very stupid. I had just won an old signal flex chorus from ebay for $15. I went to test it out, and in a fit of uncharacteristic dumbness and new pedal hysteria, i accidently grabbed the wrong wall wart and plugged it into the pedal. I stepped on it, it powered up and made some disgusting noises, not in a good way either, and died completely several seconds after. Now it wont power up at all, or pass a signal. I think i used an power supply of the wrong polarity or power and it blew the pedal. Would something like that do it?
(sigh)
So now im trying to figure out if this is something fixable (or even worth fixing,) or if i just made myself a paperweight?
