Thinking of replacing my Catalinbread DLS

What are some similar marshall-voiced pedals that are good? I like the DLS but when i turn the gain up it starts sounding a bit muddy. I run it through a fender twin 1982.

Have you tried to run it at 18V?

The Box of Rock is designed to sound like a JCM 45, so there's one, the new Boss Power Stack is their Marshall emultor, or you could get a Marshall Jack Hammer distortion or one of their other pedals. I recently had Mike at Rhythm & Detonation build me a Box of Rock clone without the boost, should arrive on Mon. or Tues. I'll let you know when I get it, if it's something should look into.

You know, I'm thinking of getting a modded rat to get that med to high gain marshally sound. I know they are different beasts, but im finding the crunch on the DLS too muddy. I'm curious whether it feels as natural as the DLS. Thats the one thing I like about the DLS is that it feels like an amp.

I run it at 12v, I find 18v too loud.

BOR is woofy.
Rat sounds ace cranked and is really touch sensitive. Amp-like. IDK? I've owned a DLS and in a band prefer the Rat. I personally love the feel of the Rat, but it's a different sound. There's almost this constant layer of drive in the background with your notes less dirty above it. Hard to explain, but I love it.

at lower settings it has just a touch of grit when you're playing single notes and a nice crunch with chords. you can pick up a used one for like $40-$50, so I'd try it out at the very least.

Marshall voiced ODs are some of my favorite. I've tried a few:
Catalinbread DLS
Xotic BB+
MI Audio Crunchbox
Fulltone OCD
Out of those I liked the DLS because it played well with others, and the BB+ because the EQ on it was great (not to mention the 2nd channel).
A few others I'd like to try:
Suhr Riot
All the old made in England Marshall pedals
Voodoo Lab OD (The OCD is based off this pedal)
Barber Direct Drive
I know there's a bajillion more, but those are the pedals that really caught my eye. It really depends on what voicing you want too. An OD based off of a Plexi will sound different then one trying to sound like a JCM. Group 'em all together though, because I love 'em all.

I guess I am looking for a very 90's brit/alt-rock sound ala feeder, 3 colors red, therapy (so more hot vox's, JCM 800s etc). I suppose Jimmy Eat World's heavier stuff would fall under the same. What would you suggest?
I know I can pull that off with the DLS but I still find it too fizzy when its cranked too much (yet unless i crank the gain i don't get the same punch). I thought about hunting down a WIIO v1 but im not sure if that would do it.

psht...mods are overrated.
No, just a normal used one, but a ruetz mod takes about 30 seconds to do.

If you're looking for more of a Vox-y pedal...there's the Englishman by Lovepedal...but it's pretty expensive, I think

maybe a bad suggestion..
