A couple weeks back I went to this guys house with my friend to look at bass amps. They had just had a halloween party so the house was a little spooky, and it didn't help that his wife led us into their living room which didn't have any lights on. That's beside the point though.

So we checked out the amps and some of his guitars, he had two V's, an LP, a tele, and about about two others, THAT HE DOESN"T PLAY. He told us that he goes to jam with some friends across the boarder, but he never brings his own gear (doesn't want the guards to think he's going to be working), he just buys a new guitar and amp when he gets there. But again STILL beside the point.

When we were getting ready to leave and I noticed an old looking Ampeg in the room, so I questioned, and it turns out to be a 64' Reverberocket he was restoring that he found IN THE FUCKING DUMPSTER BECAUSE HE FRIEND THREW IT AWAY AFTER HE DECIDED THAT IT HAD SERVED ITS PURPOSE AS A SAWHORSE FOR LONG ENOUGH. BAH!

That's what I was thinking..

This sounds to me like the sort of thing where you'll go visit your friend next month and you'll get there and there's a burned down house and a creepy old caretaker tending to the ashes, you'll stammer "b-b-b-b-ut.... the amps!! The guitars!!" and he'll say "oh, that fellow who liked to play the gee-tar? Why he's been dead for 10 years......" and will walk away laughing to himself in a crazy voice.

I've seen this sort of thing happen too many times.
