Anyone else not have problems with their Jag/JM bridge?

I've never had the problems that apparently plague these things, my strings never slip unless I play them with megaultraextreme force, and I have almost never experience buzz, when I do it's not audible through the pickups.

I've never had a slippy string, but I do sometimes experience da buzzing.
But, I can make it go away with the slightest of adjustments.

Heavy gauge strings is a must on all short scale guitars and on any guitar with JM/Jag style saddles. A good set up and heavy strings will cure most buzzing and slipping problems common to these types of guitars.
I use a Mustang bridge on my Jaguar but that's because I kept losing the stupid little height screws and it annoyed me. Never had any real issues with the original Jag saddles, though.

i tend to play hard and even with 11's i jump the saddles quite frequently on my jag. changed out with mustang saddles, helped a little. recently upgraded to a mastery bridge and it plays gorgeously, sweet intonation, no rail jumping worries at all anymore. pricey, but HIGHLY recommended. plus it looks WICKED, yes!

i guess the buzzing is a known issue from the factory since it was included.
it increases the angle of the strings at the bridge.
i installed then removed it because it felt like there was more tension
on the strings although i know that is not likely.

I'd have to disagree with you there. The looks (and price) are what make me disinterested with the mastery.

I fuckin' slam on my strings and pick them up and shit, so they'd jump saddles pretty frequently on my JM bridge. And it buzzed. And I couldn't get the intonation right. My old jag had a mustang bridge and none of those problems. My JM now has a mustang bridge.

I've got two jazzmasters (j mascis and a '62 avri), and honestly i get more buzzing going on with the mascis adjust-o-matic than I do with the regular one. i hear mastery bridges fix that shit pretty well though.

Srsly though i also slam on my strings and shit and my old jag which had the tune-o-whatsit bridge did NOT like that shit. The low E especially...now i admot to mistreating that guitar by ripping strings off of it and draggint it around on the ground and shit but that bridge fucking sucked from day one....it ended up with the low e saddle completely stripped from the string groove to the edge......which has since also happened to my sg. i really think the mastery may be worth it in just not being a pain in the ass....

i hear alot of people switch out the bridge for a mustang bridge. personally, the bridge on the jazzmaster is the reason i chose to go with a tele. never was a fan of it

I opted to go with a Mustang bridge when I was buying parts for my Jag, never had a problem with it.

Right before I traded my Jazzmaster I put 11s on it. It was INCREDIBLE compared to it with 10s.

i have two mascis with adjust-o-matic and have no problems with them
does anybody else has the impression that two guitars of the same type and strings have different string tension? That is the only difference at my jms.
