I have one and it has almost been booted off my board several times, but it's been on there for two years or more for what that's worth
It's not as good as having a whammy and a space station, the space station has all kinds of amazing tones and the only one on the ex-7 is the synth swell (in seven flavors). I use it for if I'm trying to find a specific tone that's not currently on my board (typically either the glitchy pitch-shifting of the whammy or as a one stomp ambience box).
But be warned, it has the absolute worst bypass signal ever. It's not so noticeable before fuzz, but after fuzz it's the absolute worst, which sucks pretty hard because it makes the built in volume pedal nearly worthless.
That said, it's very handy as a grab bag of weird sounds. The wah's are pretty fun. The vibe sounds good. The rotating speaker effect is kindof a cross between a vibe and a tremelo. The flanger is awesome for super jet sounds.
I would highly suggest putting it in a truebypass loop, both for the bypass problem and for treadle/speed issues. The treadle is what you use to turn it on, but on a lot of effects the treadle is what you use for the speed of the modulation as well, so if you want to set it ahead of time it might be pretty useless. But the controllable modulation speed is a plus for running it into a fuzz.
