I guess you need to have some imagination to see the possibilities for using this. This wouldn't be a tool for everyone.

I don't care much for the pedal this is being used with but it can be used as an expression controller for any pedal that can take input from a boss expression pedal. I'd like to see this used with some other pedals like maybe a delay with expression control of time or feedback.

I don't really care what it looks like as long as it can assist me in reaching my creative goals.

Yeah...the video is crap, I think because the pedal isn't something I'd be all that excited about.....but I would like to pair this up with a delay with expression control for time or feedback. That could be really cool. I like the idea of having expression control onboard rather than on a foot pedal.

The Striptease is fairly specialized so not

$99 seems a bit steep but not so much that it would be outside of consideration.

How is this more useful than a foot-operated expression controller? This takes up a lot of room and would render some of the guitars knobs useless with that cord in the way. Also on a strat, it would probably block the pick-up selector switch.

For you probably not more useful. I just find I prefer to manipulate things with my hand rather than my foot. I don't see why the cable couldn't be routed so that it wouldn't interfere with anything and I don't know about you but the room it uses up below the pickups is not room I am tending to use with my guitar anyway.

I am not trying to sell anyone on this I just thought it seemed like an interesting idea that could be implemented in different ways. There is no reason why a device of this type would really need to get in the way and I am betting it is not a permanent install and can be placed with some kind of adhesive where ever one likes... do you bitch about trem bars, too?

I think it is a cool idea to have a hand-controllable expression device, I just think in this case it is clumsily implemented and the demo video kind of reinforced that idea. Imagine if you could buy a pickguard with this in it. That would look better and would be more functional in that it wouldn't be in the way. I didn't read anything on their website about an adhesive that's both secure and easy to move... I think its a great starting point for an idea, but I don't think in its the right fit for guitar in its current form.

As for the trem bar, it's design is much better thought out. You can control how tight it is so it can either stay in the position you set it in or it can fall away when you release so its out of the way. Heck, if you dont like, you can just unscrew the whole thing and keep it in your drawer. So no, I don't bitch about trem bars.
