Wah with the deepest widest range

Looking for a wah that has a huuuuge ass sweep range. I don't need that icepick treble on it (I actually kinda hate that), but it needs to have a deep bottom end and a wide range (not that narrow jumps-from-one-spot-to-another thing the crybaby does past 3/4 of the range). The Morley Dragon 2 looked promising, but it sounded more like a filter than a wah (which was still pretty cool but it seemed like it was only bass and treble and no mids which made it sound....not really sure how to describe it... "weepy")

I use a lot of fuzz and metal distortion from my Peavey so I want a wah that is good for soloing/rhythm work in chugga-chugga type applications and with really thick fuzz.

:idk:

I know this is no help, but I gave up on Wahs...never have enough sweep without jumping straight to the icepick.

Morley makes the best I've played to this day and the bad horsie was the best sweep I played...heard good things about the dragon though.

Eventhough I don't buy "Signature" gear, the Dunlop Zakk Wylde Signature Wah is awesome, honestly you should just buy a standard crybaby and have it revoiced to where the range is bigger and for true bypass!

Sounds like you don't want the widest sweep range, just the deepest. ;)

I agree. Get the cheapest used Crybaby or Vox you can find and mod it to accentuate the low-end range of the sweep and filter out the high.

From the clips I've heard I have been wanting to get the Jerry Cantrell Wah, which you might want to check out.

Wahs are very easy to mod. Most of the different Crybaby models are the same board with a small number of component differences. The last one I modded I flattened the Q to give the sweep a wider implied range and smoother sweep.

Edit:
I removed a massive typo created by my phone haha.

What I came here to say.

The colorsound alreay has a pretty wide sweep, he added a few knobs to control the lowend and midrange and a rotary Q knob.

A wah with one of the longest and deepest sweeps has always been the Tychobrahe Parapedal (the pedal that Geezer Butler used).

Wilson makes a clone of it that he calls his "Freaker Wah". I Freakin' love mine.

Yes! My buddy was telling me about this pedal. I'm not a huge fan of signature gear myself, but the clips did sound really good. I've actually been thinking about checking one out, since I'm not having any luck getting my hands on a Wizard Wah. I will also say that it is in my opinion, which means a lot :p , one of the coolest looking wahs out there right now.

Wizard Wahs are super gnarly. I've been eyeing one for a while. I'm just too scared of wah.
