Squier Vintage Modified Jag Bass?

Honestly, Squier isn't that bad. One of my guitars is a custom Showmaster (which I put new pickups in, a new Floyd Rose, and a new jack in), and it seriously kicks some ass. I've tried one of my friend's reissue Fender Strats and honestly the Showmaster beats it. I always wanted a Jag bass, and since Fender discontinued them I thought Squier would be my next choice. It looks pretty decent, really really modest price tag, and the demos I've heard of it actually sounded pretty good. Anyone try one of these or have any experiences with Squier basses they want to share? I know it's a cheaper company, but honestly there are some gems in there.

Squier's Vintage Modified series is seriously legit. The VM Jazz Bass gets a lot of big votes. I'm really interested in the VM Jag Bass, also.
The Classic Vibe stuff is great, too. I have the Classic Vibe Thinline Tele and it's just wonderful.

All of Squier's Vintage Modified Basses are awesome! And considering how much the actuall basses are the Squiers are worth it. I've played some of the vintage Fenders, and the only difference is the age, name on the headstock, and amount of paint and finish left onteh body and neck. Squier's stuff is okay, I'd get the Jag Bass and change the pickups to Hansons or Villex's or at the very least Bartolini's, quite honestly Seymor Duncan's SUCK, and just in case you didn't hear me SUCK!
