So basically there is a Sunn Beta Lead available near me and I'm wondering if I should trade in my Fender Blues Jr. for it.
Pros:
No more tubes to buy!
I get my stoner riff tastiness!
DAT BASS
Unsures:
Capable of surf tones?
No warranty
Too loud (hey, can't always disturd the neighbors and other housemates)
Cons:
Heavy
HELP MEEEEEEEEEE ILF

As much as I love my 2BZZZZ, not having to buy them saves money.

personally i would make the trade simply because blues jr's are everywhere and not that big a deal. the beta lead is a very very fine ss amp and underrated.
....and this is coming from a tube guy as well.
i couldn't do a gig with a blues jrs. but have done many with a beta lead back in the day.
can you try it before you decide?
