You should most def do a little run of that Muff Fuzz (not the Big Muff, the original Muff) with the gain control, because I don't see any other clones that include that for some reason. Sounded fantastic too. Any chance?

Yup, it was a cool one... I'd say the gain knob is only really useful from about 2 oclock on; before that its all pretty much the same cleanish tone. It also cleans up with the volume knob just about instantly. I'm sure there is a schematic out there someone could make it from.

Are you talking about the Wizard Fountain thing? How was that a fiasco??
Anyways, this is NOT an original Mellowtone circuit; it is a clone of the EHX Muff Fuzz:

He made the gain adjustable on a knob, but as far as he told me, that was the only tweak. So yeah, clone away.

Well I guess it doesn't really count as a fiasco but it was a whole lot of us putting some serious pressure on Eric to hook us up with the schems.
I don't think anybody ever ended up building one either... I feel kinda bad about that tbh.

One guy made a few posts about building one and it being too treble-y. Eric suggested to swap the input cap with 10uf. The original value used is .1uf.

And all was as it should be in the world of ILF.

I think it will be my next next build, so someone will get some use from it.
That Muff thing looks pretty cool too. >.>
