For those of you who have a stock-pile of fuzzhugger pedals, what are the tonal differences between the AB, Chalice, ABsynth? What are the biggest differences? Can they all be set to sound more or less the same? If not, what does one do that the others can't? Not many people mention the Chalice, but does that have a sweet spot that the others just can't nail? Or a tone unique to it's own? And does the AB get sounds that the ABsynth can't?

EDIT: Duh, just missed a similar topic on page 1. I'm liking what I'm reading about the AB. Clear note definition with chords is a plus.

I have a Chalice. When I was in the market for a fuzz pedal, I talked with Tom a lot about it. I was originally leaning toward the AB-Synth because I liked the tone, but didn't like the fact that since I'd be using it for an active bass, the oscillation would be iffy. I did some more looking, and found out that the Chalice is the AB-Synth (or as close as you can get) without the oscillation, so I went that route. To my ears (based upon firsthand experience with the Chalice and listening to clips of the AB-Synth), they are both very similar in tone.
