He did a lecture with my friend Claire for the book they released together in France.
Then he did an 8 song showcase.
I had met him a few times but never worked with him. He knows what he wants, and is really professional!

Don't get me wrong- I think BC hate is hilarious. "He totally makes music that he's happy with and tons of people love, but I don't and that's what matters so Waa Waa Waa."

What matters to me is that he got Pavement kicked off Lollapalooza because he didn't like something Stephen Malkmus said.

I probably would have freaked out to see this, never followed all the weirdo shit behind the scenes politics of Billy corgan cause I didn't care.... Siamese dream pulled me out of my prefab radio pop/rnb/hiphop phase and started me on the best journey of musical discovery I ever experienced... That's all I give a shit about....
But yeah I probably would have cried inside realizing he's getting old am cranky which means I'm getting old and cranky....

i think people hate billy corgan because he totally sold out by writing half-assed tunes with not-the-smashing-pumpkins. he also hangs out with tila tequila and jessica simpson, when neither of them the talented or artsy type. i'm pretty sure he's just an ethereal floating ego whistling thoughtless melodies and just stringing chords together, laughing all the way to the bank.
i guess i kind of thought i saw something i could relate to artistically in him and then one day realized that he's just a fake.
gish ruled, though.
