Sooo...I just got a Rusty Box the other day. FRIGGIN LOVE IT!!!
But anyway, it's got wonky power requirements. 24v-40v DC, positive center. I use a PP2+, and I have a coupling and reverse polarity cable, typically used to power old EHX pedals. So I was all excited to plug it in..but then!
The barrel on the Rusty Box's power supply's little hole is sliiightly larger than the one in my coupling cable. Which means the little phallic thingy inside the Rusty Box's power jack has a touch more girth than most pedals.
Is it unwise to switch the barrels on the power supplies? XD

Mod it to take two 18v cables?

That'd take up FOUR!! pp2+ outlets! But I dig your style.
Though I'd still be in the same predicament, because only the provided power supply fits the Rusty Box

That's not science. It's just kinda dodgy engineering

I'm not a dumbass, I have one of those. And I did know all that.
The barrel on the Voodoo Lab cable is a different size on the inside, has a slightly smaller hole than fits on the Rusty Box.

Why not just use the power supply it came with?
In a similar note, I found out yesterday my 1/8th" adapters for my 1spot wont work with my center+ sstone and dmuff anymore

My 1/8th's dead too...
Because I'd rather power it by my PP2+, that's why I got the dang thing. I've been using the back outlet, but the way it's oriented, I have to prop it on something, cuz the Rusty Box comes with a big ol' wallwart. Though I'm gonna mod it so it's sideways

Oh hey, there are two different size coupling cables. Sorry bubstance v.v didn't know there were 2

But are the 2.1 and 2.5 talking about the overall barrel width, or the inner diameter in the hole? Wish I had me some calipers.

what you need is a 4.2 mm to 4.5 or something like that.
Check Rat shack by the power adaptors, they have some with a bunch of ends, reversible for pos center, neg center and also at mine they have a card there with different size plugs so you could check the size you need.
