Musket appreciation thread

I got the Musket last spring, and I still can't get over how much I love this thing. Seriously

I am so tempted to pick up a mantra overdrive because of how much I love the musket.

I love my Musket. I'm using it now as a distortiony fuzz to where its clear enough to cut through the mix but still rip your face off.

+1 for coarse ball of coal striking head and ripping off face/skull/life. rip your life right offa you. if Blackout did a twosome with a tremolo/vibrato and a musket, you could call it the Gatling gun. Blackout Effectors Gatling Gun. just like Josey Wales in the back of a Union wagon...

Hey there.
I love my Musket. It does pretty much everything I like.
It does that doomy end of the world sound well and I can cut through everything with the mids knob.
Also, when I'm not doing that end of the world type stuff I like to keep the gain down and boost it with an overdrive.
I love stacking things and this works well I find. I've had good results with a TC Electronics overdrive (808ish) and lately, a Danelectro Transparent Overdrive. The TOD sounds the best with it.

Right now I stack with a Catalinbread DLS and it sounds absolutely mint. I'm going to eventually pick up a Timmy (GAS list), but in the meanwhile I might pick up a TOD v2. How does it sound for you? What amp are you using? (Curious!)

I've tried it with a Catalinbread wiio too, but the results weren't as good as I was expecting.
(that was the wiios fault though)
I've never tried the V2, but I've heard they're quite different.
If you're patient, you can find a V1. I got mine for like $40.
It is VERY quickly becoming one of my favourite pedals.
I'm running it with a 1983 Fender Concert II head into a mid 90s VHT 2x12 Cab w/ vintage 30s.
It's a bit of an odd setup, but it does what I want and it does it well!

I've thought about replacing the DLS with a WIIO or SFT. Not sure though.

I had a WIIO and didn't like it. Or rather, my amp didn't. I sold it to a friend and it sounds great with his stuff.
If you're getting a WIIO though, don't sell the DLS.

Musket rules for sure! I would urge you to try then buy the Mantra. I've been loving it for a while with various guitar and amp configurations but a fellow came by the other day to test it with his Mustang bass. We lined up several OD's but the Mantra triumphed. Very versatile.

I love my Musket. I typically have it set up for massive stoner/doom fuzz and just play gnarly riffs. It is easily my favorite out of the fuzzes I have played.

I love the musket side of my dual!

I have it set for a very modern almost mesa sound (which is awesome because I probably have to sell my recto soon).
Also crazy because fuzz is rarely able to sit in for the distortion channel of a high gain amp

I've got 2 Musket V1 ne 79 and nr 102 ... in my opinion 102 sounds different ...seems more open .

So even between different V1 there are diffrences ... that's really cool .

Just love the Musket! Better restock soon, I miss having them in the shop. It's versatility is incredible -from demonic black metal riffs to black crowes-esque jams.
