Soooooooo, here is the much needed update. I traveled to Austin this weekend for the Whole Foods 30th Birthday. My gf is awesome and won an essay contest, so Whole Foods flew us out, put us up in a sweet hotel, and fed us delicious food all weekend. Of course, the trip had to include a little guitar time, which is where this journey begins.
So Music Makers was only about a mile from our hotel, so we decided to walk on over. It was a nice walk along the river, and what did we happen to come across but a statue of Stevie Ray Vaughan!

I know everyone thinks that he was really into the toobscreamer blues, but he was really all about the fuzz. Here is actual proof!!!!

SRV and I parted ways, as I knew there was an oasis of fuzz further down the road. Lo and behold, look what I found:

A true bounty of fuzz was to be had. Of course, it would be a waste to enjoy these aural delights all alone, so I met up with Sonidero, who is a most excellent tour guide of all things fuzz in Austin. So I had my gf take another picture:

And we entered into the store and sampled Tom's fuzzy wares. They had a great selection of Devi and Dwarfcraft as well.

At the end of the day, there was only one pedal for me, with its motorboating blippity bloops and crazy arpeggios:

It is truly an amazing pedal; I know why people say they don't need any other oscillating fuzz when this is on their board. So a big thanks to Tom, Musicmakers and Sonidero (and of course my gf, but she won't be reading this) for making my trip Austin awesome and most importantly, fuzzy.
