Lovely guitars, with a few basic upgrades and such, they are a real player! If it's a good price, I highly suggest it

Cheers.

Yeah, it's a steal and in mint condition. I'll probably go for it - it will mean digging into my HOG fund though.

Step up to one of the Blacktop Jaguars or Jazzmasters instead.

While the Jagmasters are cheap, they're cheap for a reason. Cheap wood, cheap parts, garbage pickups, cheap electronics, mediocre tuners, and a pretty crappy trem.

On top of that, the body shape isn't accurate to anything, and it's significantly thinner than a real Fender Offset.

Also, don't expect to just drop in full sized humbuckers. The route isn't deep enough, and you'll need a new pickguard if you intend to put covered humbuckers in. You can *try* to file down the existing pickguard, but the material is so cheap and thin that it takes to cracking, melting, and in general being a total mess.

They're cool, but like I said - they're cheap for a reason. I personally don't recommend the current ones. Vistas are different, but at the prices those go for you might as well buy a real Jaguar or Jazzmaster.

I think the jagmasters are brilliant, but I prefer the 25.5" scale, which the new one's aren't. If you can find a good old one in that scale, they're really great guitars. If the scale doesn't matter, then definitely go for it!
