I just got a Wave Machine off buy/sell/trade and I gotta say I lurve it. I'm not sure I could confirm or deny whether it's a true wave makin' synth thingy--it does have some little glitchy artifacts on attack and decay that sound like it's syncing your signal to a wave, but then again, I've heard similar glitchanalia from some of my lofier fuzzes. In other ways, it seems like a heavily filtered fuzz--especially how supernaturally well it responds to double stops. Even if that's "all" it is though, and even given the lack of gain control or eq beyond the selectable "wave-form", it is an awesome sounding piece of frippery. I don't have another fuzz that let's me get so far inside the border of that synthy sustain territory and is so quiet at the same time--no feedback squeal-a-rama, no hiss or hum. I'm sure the filtering, if such, helps in that department. Don't get me wrong, I love oscillation and chaos--that's why I hang around here, but sometimes don't we all want to be heroes just for one day? With a touch of ambience added this thing let's me get as close as I've ever been, quickly and painlessly. Makes it all the more satisfying when I wind up the Cyber Pshychic and the mirror ball explodes in a thousand thousand slychic shards.

Could maybe use a pair of freaky nipple antennae, though.
