not gonna actually gig with it anytime soon. but I'm encoureged by that fact that a friend of a friend who got this exact same cello, after three months andn o previous guitar experience, manages to get by already!

Hey! you never said who made the thing.... I don't need a cello [play DB] but some people might like to know the make... I like to know if they make a bass if nothing more then just to check out it's design specs.

Guess what totally rules in high humidity environments for the DB? POPS.

We have pretty high humidity up here in WA not as much as you guys but it is a damp place. I used pops for over 7 years and I just don't like the sound anymore, I bought a can a few months ago to see what it was like on the strings I'm using now [Jargar] and nope.... Maybe if I had a better bass [ie carved] I'd like it better. Jade is just as sticky but you have to use more as it doesn't stay on your bow as long but I like the sound and the less messness of it. Plus it kind'a smells like bacon
