What to do with free bass?

So a while back I ordered some cheap knockoff brand P-bass and when it arrived in the mail it looked like this:

The company sent me a replacement for free, and never took back the broken one. So I have had this broken bass sitting in the corner for months, and I figure it's time to do something with it (aside from fixing it obviously). So what should I do? I'm thinking about building in an effect or two or.... I don't know, ideas?
(Note: I'm a beginner in effects modding/building so nothing too insane please. I have done a lot of trade work though so I am very competent with tools of any kind, so while my knowledge is limited, the work itself isn't an issue.)

It's just the headstock that's broken? The body and everything is in one piece? If so, you can just get a new neck and boom! New, functional bass guitar. If you still want to fix it, it's a great opportunity to try a headstock repair with nothing to lose.

Fuzz is always a good thing (obviously) and CultureJam posted his dead easy fuzz circuit here a little while back... it's a super easy build. Also, why not turn it into something fun and different? A crazy slide bass or something, maybe??

Yes it's just the headstock that's broken off. Everything else is fine. I'm thinking about fretless neck + fuzz + Feedback looper. If that's possible. I have only seen fb loopers used, I have never used one myself so I'm not positive on the workings.

Ok what I would do about the bass....
salvage the tuners off the neck, and toss the neck or turn it into art, a cheap neck is always a waste of time to fix, the wood will be shit and the time you spend to get it right will be wasted... I speak from experience, so inless you want to lean repair don't bother with the neck... get a new [or used one] off ebay you should be able to find something for around $40 and up that is usable. Other then that the sky is the limit, you could go fretless, you could get a guitar bridge and two more tuners and have a long scale bass VI, you could build a fuzz into the bass...
