I had my fart set on one of those like way back when she announced them.

Then today I thought: "I own a Shoegazer and an AB-Synth 5k (and a US Fuzz and a Merkin and etc.). I don't think I need one."

I'm RIGHT, I just wondered if anyone had a chance to play with it yet and what your thoughts are. I really only wanted it for the Cherry Pop part, but shit, how much better/different could it be?

IMHO it's got more balls. the fuzz sounds deeper.

my plan is to, at some point, pick up a used SM (you know, $70-$80 max) and ship it to one of the dudes on here, probably spunkz to mod it what the warhorse is and more, like a lot more. and still keep it under like $110 and small footprint

It definitely has more balls than my E13 SM, and maybe more than my Cherry Pop. More knob twiddling is required once work and school ease up a bit. ...)

Could you, uh, describe the ballz? Like good for power chords or soloing or what? With the tone knob, will I hear more of the notes ring out if I play like a B minor with the F# in the bass, all strings?

Is the oscillation very controllable? My ABSynth covers everything I could ever want in an oscillator, and that's got Starve (Texture), Trip, Fuzz, Gain, Level, and a bass/voice switch.

I could buy it and be happy, but it's also pretty much $200 for another Soda Meiser and oscillation.
