There are a bunch of little synths that can make those sorts of sounds, though you usually can't feed your guitar into them.
Also, why not just get one of those?

Also, check out the Copilot Orbit, Subdecay Noisebox and maybe even the Crowther Prunes and Custard. They all make that insane fuzz + laser gun sweep sound.

WTF
Can someone do a demo of their Tube Zipper? I can't believe that's still literally the only one online considering it's an EHX product. I've heard nothing but great things about the distortion side of the box and how it can add some real mojo to your tone. Theres been one sitting in my local store for years that I can't play with because they f'd up the power supply.

For a pedal that follows your pitch (with a synthy sort of 'laser-gun' sweep) the SubDecay Noisebox is probably one of the better ones.
For a pedal that produces it's own pitch and obscures the pitch you're playing, the Feisty Little One Rogue Leader would probably be ideal.
Just my opinion

Why buy a synth when you can try to hunt down this mythical creature?
If listening to people talk isn't your thing skip to around 2:06.

I bet you dollars to donuts that its the same guy as that demo. Was his username grygrx, or something similar? Bassfuzz.com is run by the same grygrx on Talkbass, who was talking the other day about how he got a second PLL.
