Can I pay someone here to make this mod?

Here's what I need. I've got a Dwarfcraft Great Destroyer. I really like the pedal, but if it had a built in gate like a FuzzFactory or even just a simple non-adjustable one like on the Dr Sci Frazz Dazzler it would be a much more useful pedal to me. It can get so many twisted tones, but most of them are rendered useless if I want to try and play with any space between the notes. If I'm not playing, it just roars and screams, which is AWESOME, WHEN I want it to do that. But I want the option for it not to do that. I emailed Aen months ago about doing a mod and he was not interested and or had the time. He's a busy guy, so I understand.

Seems like given a simple gate circuit, one could easily implement this. There's plenty of room in the case. I don't have the time or know-how to do this myself. Any ideas? No anybody that could or would do this?

Bet a 100k trimpot parallel to the resistor to ground off one of the gain stages would do it.
I did that to a noisy old muff and it sounded great afterwards.

Got anybody you can recommend to do the mod? Not sure I can find anybody in my neighborhood with the time.

Yeah, this would probably work with a design based around transistors. I'm not sure how biasing works with the IC the the Great Destroyer. It might work, though.

Also, just to clarify, the "gate" control on the Fuzz Factory isn't a proper noise gate like on the Box of Metal. In the FF, the Gate control just adjusts the bias of one of the transistors until it starts to turn off when no signal is fed to it.

The Frazz Dazzler, until recently, had a gate that was always on. It functions absolutely perfectly in my opinion. I sent Ryan an email to ask him if that's how he set it up or if it was a more complicated circuit. I don't know enough to even be dangerous when it comes to this stuff, thanks for the help so far guys. I realize this is the DIY section, I guess I'm temporarily hijacking it as the "Do it for me and I'll pay you" section.

Diodes in series with a part of the circuit could potentially be used to gate (A silicon diode would require about .6 volts to conduct), but I don't know how to use it in relation to a TGD. I'm pretty sure it's based on a hex inverter chip, but chyeahh...

Someone really needs to design/build a loop pedal with a gate.

Still willing to pay someone to give it a shot.

you could mod it to be a secret destroyer. Its really easy just search through the DC forum for what to do it just involves exchanging a resistor for a pot.

Thanks, that may be just what I'm looking for and it sounds like even I could do the mod.
