Check us out. Lots of Utter Stutter, some Bit fuzz as well. We gots nothing recorded and this actually isn't our first show. I say it's our first show everytime we play. This band is the most honest music I've played in awhile. I was in a band Field Day before this and it was fun, but I couldn't use my Absynth or Utter-stutter to write a part without getting looks of disgust. This band was made to utilize all these devices I've been collecting.

I was kinda really obnoxious this show. It was all friends and a going away function so it was bittersweet times.

Yes; that's where the character gets his name.

I don't remember that character at all. I hardly remember Beakman. Bill Nye was my jam.

I watched both...a LOT. Mostly from like 5-8.

I only remember Beakman being on before school and Bill after...that's probably why my allegiance is with the science guy.

We finally recorded and got some things back to review. Thought I'd share. First song is Brainbow Drainbow. That's all Vecroscillator and delay at times. A little utter stutter as well. The mix makes the bass sound like another guitar. Not a lot of low end. Probably not the final mix but an experiment my buddy thought I'd appreciate.

Second is Teal this song was pretty much our first song, but went through several revisions as we kept writing other songs. It was at one point 9 minutes long, but we've reduced that and organized it more for recording. It's longer live. The static noises are all from my Trogotronic box. This song was made in order to use that thing. Think we did good.

For some reason my YouTube is stupid slow, but I did catch the snippet of Sabotage. The recorded tracks are B.A.D.A.S.S.!!!!! :thumb:   :thumb:   :thumb:   :thumb:   :thumb:   :thumb:   :thumb:   :thumb:

Really great balance of melody & noise, math & graspable structure. I would love to see you guys live. The bass on the first track is a bit odd - I mean, I love the mids & treblez as a bass player, but there's something about that mix that has it too close to your guitar tone, so they just blend in. That said, with some mixing tweaks, I think that one will be full on awesome. The second track sounds much more balanced mix-wise to me, and it's a friggin' BEAST.

Are you planning on recording more & releasing? I'd certainly buy a copy!

Boogie woogie boogie woogie!

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah the first song isn't the final mix, just something he tried out. I need more low end from the bass in the first one personally, because it sounds just like my guitar, which I think was what he was trying to replicate.

We are going to release the whole EP soon, however, there's a lot of complications with the band. The bassist moved to CT so we had to get a new bass player, the drummer travels a lot and so we haven't discussed how we'll go about releasing it. We're playing with Native next month and I was hoping to have something done by then. It's five songs and called Brainbow Drainbow, like the first track. 20 minutes. I was thinking of releasing it on tape myself and then giving away download codes.

I'll make sure I advertise the release here in case anyone has interest. I'm not sure if there will be many releases after this EP. There might be two more songs recorded, but the band has become hard to work on since everyone moved away. We may get a tour in sometime...
