New custom head cab day!

A fellow forum member over at BYOC made this cab for me. It's quite an amazing piece of work, and I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out.

It fits the amp perfectly, which is amazing considering he didn't have a Univalve to use for measurements. I measured and also sent photos with a ruler lined up in certain spots so he could verify my measurements. It's like a frigging glove!! And my god, the wood feels so smooth and it looks like glass. It's just awesome.

When I first thought about a cab for the Univalve, I had imagined tolex and plywood. This piece of high-end furniture is really something exquisite. Here's an example of how nice it looks: I had it out in the living room to have a nice look at it in some good light. The wife comes in and says, "Ooh, what's that?". I explained what it was, and before I could even finish telling her all the details, she cut me off and said, "You can leave that in here if you want. It looks fantastic".

Here are some kinda crappy quick pics I took just now. I'm going to do a proper studio setup for some photos next week.

Nope. This is for playing at home. If I need to take the amp somewhere, I'll just put the cage back on and take it that way. ;)

In that case it's perfect, I really need to make a box for my bass head, the rack case bags just don't look cool enough!
