There's a little festival in my small town of Jackson; Land of Nod. Tokyo Police Club were just about to start playing then it started pouring so everyone hid under tents as they covered all their gear.

An hour passed and the rain died down, so they played an acoustic set (with their semihollow gibsons) underneath a tent for us. Everyone was super quiet so we could hear the guitars, it was pretty sweet. Then an actual acoustic guitar arrived and they played two more songs while two others played percussion on the guitar case.

Afterwards they asked if anyone else wanted to play anything and my friends pushed me forward. They handed me the guitar and I played one of my songs (pop pop fizz fizz, if anyone's curious) When I put the guitar down Graham White patted me on the back and everyone seemed to dig it.



Really cool guys, super nice, and all that. Anywho, I'm jazzed up,nd thought I'd share a cool "hey this band is cool and they're nice guys" story.

That's awesome that you got some exposure like that. Not the biggest fan of the band, as in, I don't listen, but I wouldn't protest to someone putting them on.

i absolutely love their ep A Lesson In Crime.

elephant shell is great too. but champ is.. different. i'm not a big fan of how produced and planned it sounds because tpc was always (to me) a band that was fast and creative and very immediate.

i've seen them live twice. good show, glad you got to play with them
