Changing the rig,need distortion advice

So after band practice this weekend I'm thinking about changing my amp setup. I have been using and Orange Rockerverb 50 through an Orange 4x12. However, I recently scored a '73 SIlverface Fender Super Reverb. So I ran that as my only amp, and loved some of the sounds I was getting out of it. I have a Singing Tree that I was using for some dirty sounds, and the DF side of my Dream Mangler. I'm thinking that I still need some sort of distortion pedal for another flavor of dirt. I'm also gonna try out my DC Shiva to see what I can get with that.

Recommendations on good distortion pedals?

You can't go wrong with a good old RAT.

Also, the Dano Fabtone is also a surprisingly good distortion for really heavy stuff, though it can make you lose a lot of mids, so I wouldn't use it in a live setting unless you can bring a gigantic mid-booster (ohnoho Blowing Up perhaps?).

I like my Dirty Little Secret! Oh, and I like the pedal, too!

There are some awesome, if rather noisy distortion tones to be had out of a Montreal Assembly Wrong Side of Uranus.

i'm selling a vox satchurator as we speak. great distortion, i just don't need it. works great with other pedals, and the "more" switch absolutely KILLS. check it out, and i'll give you a good price if you're interested. you can find tons of demo's on youtube.

I'll third the Rat. They're so good I have two.

And from what I've heard a fuzzhugger arc flash wouldn't be a bad choice...

The Arc Flash is pretty legit. Very versatile!
