I was thinking more 80's thrash metal basslines, which involves lots of effort put towards not being heard.

I know

considering some of the first bands I was really into was McTallica, Sepultura and Anthrax I know the tinfoil bass sound well. I kept thinking "this is suppose to be heavy. where is the heavy? I think as a counter reaction to that is why I went with flats and gobs of lows

I know, I grew up listening to hardcore punk, and, outside of the Dead Kennedys, it's equally disappointing bass wise. Then, I got into Kyuss.

For me... The Melvins! I was given a mix tape with their version of God of thunder... So slow... so fucking heavy

It was like oh I get it! Even if it was a crappy Kiss song... I get it...

There is nothing wrong with what "I" want to hear! that was a cool moment.

80's Kramers are very well built and have lotsa character. Have fun pounding the subs!
