"Usable" Fuzz?

I've come to the conclusion that I may well prefer fuzz pedals to amp distortion.
However, I don't have a pedal I feel I can always leave on. I have a Fender Blender which is only for crazy shit, a Russian Big Muff for big walls of sounds that sounds a little muddy at times, a Blue Box, and a Soda Meiser. None of these feel like super versatile "always on" pedals and I find myself rarely using some of them. I had thought I was gone off Fuzz, but apparently I just don't have enough Fuzz.
I was playing around with the Fuzzes on my M9 and they were pretty decent but they were all of course stereotypical choices and none sound fantastic into my amp. You can't crank the mids on the Big Muff for some reason without it going all strange and not in a good way, can't get those Gilmour kind of tones out of it really.
I want a fairly articulate, but meaty and saturated sounding Fuzz. I'm thinking kind of King Crimson.
I'm thinking maybe something either Fuzz Face based, or a Ram's Head/Triangle Era muff(whatever one Gilmour used I guess).
