Seriously...

When Devi was still on ILF, she posted this or it was someone else I can't remember:

http://www.tonefactor.com/proddetail.php?prod=inventobox&cat=72

I thought it was some photo shop picture making fun of Zvex taking ideas from Effector 13 like graphics, etc.

 but I guess you can actually buy this...

We had a HUGE debate after NAMM '10 about this. Search the forum and you'll find a ton of info/opinions.

Apparently, that's because it comes with the FF and SHO modules to get you started. I guess he figures that you essentially have 2 pedals + infinite others right out of the box. I'd still rather have a Beavis Board, though.

I could never get the Fuzz Factory to work on the Beavis Board though, I think my Flux Capacitor was Shot :idk:

What's really cool about the Inventobox is, if you call it lame or say something like, "close but no cigar," Vex shows up and starts posting on ILF.

I actually had one in front of me in a store yesterday. So, no hoax.

i think it's obnoxious looking and overpriced - perhaps not too overpriced for someone who doesn't have ANY experience with DIY, but then again, i feel like that person would be a bit overwhelmed by this, so... FAIL.

i had the guys at the zvex booth at musikmesse show me the box and it looks very cool. i'm not a DIY person but i cannot wait to see what people do with it. there's already been a 'seek-delay' done by puretube which does cool pitch shifting stuff.
this is SO much more exciting than yet another hissy raspy fuzz pedal.
the zvex bashing bandwagon here is getting really tedious.

just for the record, i'm certainly not bashing - i like a few zvex pedals (even though i find those to be overpriced as well - the SHO is a perfect example...) - but i feel like there are other ways to go about the modular route - to me it seems a bit overwrought and far too complicated for the majority of users.
it's funny because the demo of him putting together the inventobox is with a fuzz factory module...a hissy raspy fuzz pedal. you'd think he would at least release a new effect to go along with it?

But... but... bashing Vexy is fun...

Seriously though, I'll put it this way: love his circuits, HATE his pedals. Everything about them but the sound. The price, the enclosures, the price, the art, the price... et cetera.

that's cool -- i approve of thought-out opinions :thumb:
it's just there's a certain clown around who has a pedalboard literally drowned in devi ever pedals and goes around saying zvex is "boring". there's no denying that mr vex is an innovator in the fx world.

Whats your deal?

I've owned a zvex box of rock and loved it. When I tagged a video with "zvex. is. boring." it was a joke. Get over it. If you were so careful to look at the tags in the video you might also have noticed my demo of the zvex box of rock and me loving it.

Secondly, even if I meant Zvex is boring, that doesn't stop you from buying, playing, and enjoying Zvex's effects pedals. So stop your whining.

EDIT: And this forum started with Devi Ever, so that may be why a lot of us have a few of her pedals.
