Hardware Limiter

So I'm looking for a hardware limiter. The only function I need it to perform is limiting. Basically I am running some hardware effects and recording them into my DAW, however some effects can feedback or oscillate on themselves and send the feedback screeching. I want to use a limiter to prevent ruining my equipment and to be more friendly on my ears. Any ideas? Does any piece of gear already exist for this application? I know limiters are used in the mastering stage but I don't need anything fancy! Thanks!

i asked this question awhile back and was suggested the fmr audio rnc (really nice compressor). i was told a hardware compressor can do volume limiting, but i dont know exactly how. anyway, i never did get one, but i see theres one at analoguehaven's site in their used equipment section. you may want to check it out.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I'll have to look into that. The price is about right!

RNC is a really really nice compressor. I have one and love it.
if you want to use it as a limiter, you just have to set the ratio to maximum.
