I might be having band practice today, if I do I'll make my bassist play through it and see how it sounds and report back here since my bass is at our practice spot.

Bass + Musket right here. My go-to fuzz. I really dig it.

Would I be correct in saying that the normal muff scoop mud could be counteracted but the mid knob? Will I be heard once again? My USA reissue muff sounds great until someone else plays along, then it goes from muff to mudd.

Yes, the mids knob can over-accentuate or complete reverse the normal muff mid-scoop.

Lotsa dudes over on TalkBass.com!!
I personally prefer the Supercollider, but I could definitely see many uses and applications for the Musket!
