I believe the newest versions are labled "SM" and "TP."

I'm not sure if any Shoe Gazers labeled "Bypass" and "More Fuzz" have independent switching.

But I do know for sure that there is a mod you can do to make the channels independent if they're not already.

Thanks.

Dependent isn't that bad...

but you should be getting an independent shoegazer.

My Shoegazer is labeled like that but has independent switching. I got it from PGS a couple days after they started getting all independent and shizz. (this was at the end of last year IIRC)

The easiest way might be to judge by the date on the box. If it's new it should have the official DE box which is dated.
I don't remember when devi made the change over but any recently made one (anything in 2010 maybe?) should be the newer one.

Everything is exactly the same, except that you can use the two channels independently on the newer ones. It doesn't affect the sound.

The only downside is that if you want both sides on you have to step on them both, instead of leaving the "moar fuzz/sm" on (which would be bypassed) and then just hitting the "bypass/tp" switch.

I wish there was a pedal called the "Sockgazer" now...
