Modding the Dano BLT Echo

Alright,
so here's my first attempt at modding a pedal. I found out that my BLT reacts very cool when power starved, so I'm going to add one of those to the pedal. I found this: http://experimentalistsanonymous.com/board/index.php?topic=2072.0
In the thread is a list of Resistors to add to the whole thing to give it a minimum. I've been using the Properboy Starve and Steve told me it's limited around 4V, so that'd be somewhere between 4.7k and 10k, according to the list on exp.an. The Properboy goes down much farther than what the BLT runs at, so I'd rather set the limit higher, maybe at 6V. that'd be 15k according to what the people in exp.an posted. Is anyone experienced in this and can give me a hint if this is right?
I noticed that I cannot use power starve when the pedal is on a daisy chain with other pedals. Is there any way around this or will I have to live with using one adapter for the BLT only? (Battery's probably not an option, I thought I'd use the cavity for the additional pots.)
Also I found this mod here:
http://freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4346
Going to do that too. Both are simple and cool.
Anyone has a thought on this, any advice, stuff I should watch out for? Or does anyone know another mod that could be thrown in with ease? Replacing a Cap or a Resistor?
