Every now and then, if you're listening, the hints of octave in the Velcroar makes it sound like it's chorusing itself a bit.

I DID in fact, notice that, but it was more prominent in the Tea Bagger.

Why not a warbly fuzz of sorts

To really do it up right, it'd be a headache of a build! I like to hand-stuff/solder, and that'd be a farm-it-out project!

Make a vibe, like a Jimi Hendrix Machine Gun vibe. Yeah, do that.

unless its a chorus that self oscillates or had an internal feedback loop or something something? i couldn't really see myself going apeshit over a Fuzzhugger(fx) Chorus as i am pretty happy w/ my DOD Chorus FX65.
peace.

Well,yeah...I'd want it to have something that set it apart from the garden variety chorus pedal. Self oscillation is what I was thinking, but I was mostly just posting for teh lulz

honestly. i am not even against there being more Chorus pedals out there. becuz i love Chorus. but IDK i have certain
expectations for Fuzzhugger(fx). not saying t_d couldn't pull it off though becuz t_d is capable of ANYTHING.

agreed.

After playing with the Phantom Arcade last night, going through mulltiple settings on both the pedal and my guitar(strat,so 5 way switch),there seemed to have been some almost phaser-like tones generated. I think in all seriousness,an erxpansion of the Velcroar's quasi-octavia doubling would be cool. Tack on an oscillation mode and that would be a reasonable enough facsimile of FH(fx) modulation. Having said that,I think mode one of the Phantom Arcade(cleanish/slightly dirty ring mod/octave up) is pretty close to just that. The range of tones on that thing is incredible, for srsly

Hey Monty, thanks for the comments on the Phantom Arcade. It's a wild design, and I'm glad I've been getting some special orders for them...they're kinda the current secret here at FuzzHugger(fx).
Thanks, floating_opera!
I highly doubt I'll be making a chorus, though I've learned to never say never. In addition to the research and complexity involved (I'm not opposed to complexity--see Phantom Ring--but this one would need to be factory stuffed), I also wouldn't want to release a chorus unless it was something really unique. At least expanded parameters, wild-but-usable oscillation, etc.
I have very little interest in clones. I don't even want to operate like, "now, here's a chorus!...now, here's a flanger!"...I'd rather try to come up with something unique, like "here's something you may not have experienced before!"
Fun fact: I've never been a fan of chorus pedals!
