As long as you have a sparkly blue strap to match, you should be fine!
Now when do we get to see the rest of it?
I'm putting my money / guess on Fender Jazz project bass...

I can still see it. I don't think it's shiny enough. IT IS NOT BLINDING ENOUGH.
Seriously though, it looks really cool.

If you're asking, it means there isn't enough.

I should have done a poll.
Jrmy you are correct. The pickup route gave it away didn’t it?
I shall add more sparkle, Peacock and Aztec gold flake.
More photos as it progresses.

Heh. As a Jazz Bass addict, I can practically recognize them by the smell... OVER THE INTERNET!!!
Just kidding. I've got allergies right now, so I'm too stuffed up to smell jpegs.
That is one sexxxxxxay looking sparkle finish. Definitely interested in seeing how it develops!
Is it from scratch, or kit, or is it a rehab job?

It’s an ’04 American standard that had been “spray canned” pink.
Complete with orange peal, the dings and a couple of nice divots were over sprayed.
At the price of a new Squire, I couldn’t pass it up.
So after a bit of sanding I added some more sparkle today, got to let it set up at least 24 hrs then a touch of clear. Then even more sanding and polishing, lots of polishing.
With luck I should be ready to re-assemble it this Sunday or Monday.
I used Caribbean green to blue color shift, with Peacock and Aztec gold flake.
Super sexy in sunlight, I’m hoping stage lighting will be dazzling.
I’m seriously thinking about painting the knobs to match and the pickup covers either black sparkle or a nice sparkly contrasting color.

Looks great, MM. I'm not a huge fan of sparkly anything but if it's done well, in the right colours, sparkles can be nice. I like the old Gretch electromatic sparkle finishes, cuz the little glittery bits looked like they were like 3mm in diameter.

My friend has a DeArmond reissue that's essentially a Grestch, and the sparkles are so large and individual it looks almost like a mosaic.
