Anybody ever own an Agile guitar?

I've been hunting around for a 7 string Telecaster style guitar lately and it seems like my best option is an Agile guitar like this,
http://www.rondomusic.com/t7.html, which looks pretty cool to me...
Anybody ever own or play this brand of guitar? I'm totally unfamiliar with them...
PS - The ultimate in 7 string Telecasters, the Stephen Carpenter signature ESP model, man those are too cool! And also too rare and too expensive!

I've owned a few agiles, normally in the $200 range and always les pauls... they are hit or miss to be honest, i would hope that the guys over at rondo would do a better job with quality control if they are charging $500 for something....
i changed the tuners, changed the pickups and had to do a complete setup but both guitars ended up sounding pretty sweet, overall build quality of the agile guitars are pretty good, almost as good as the new squiers coming out now...

Never owned one but I've heard really good things about their interceptor 7string.
I almost got one until I found a decent deal on an ibby s7320.
Those SC teles were badass...I'd love to have one some day.

Hey Ryan!
My buddy has an Agile SG Double neck. It's alright, I just set it up, restrung, and the whole works. Seemed alright, but that's about it.

my buddy has a double neck sg style in alpine white that is very well made for the price. the necks are good and straight.
my cousin has an agile les paul custom copy that is real nice. the neck is smooth and the frets are well done. it is the 3100 model.
in november of last year i found a 2800(?) model les paul style baritone with lace alumitone humbuckers in it at guitar center. the neck is real nice and the frets are good. it is not as nice as my cousins fancier model but it is a solid guitar and i am happy with my purchase.
i think blackout kyle also plays an agile. well, kyle posted the first demo vid of the mantra and who ever was playing guitar in that vid was playing an agile!

Thanks for the info and reviews, much appreciated!
clydes001, that guitar is a real beauty, I love the finish!
Dennis has just been tormenting me like crazy with that Stephen Carpenter 7 string... I've fallen for it and I can't get up. I wonder if ESP would trade a bunch of guitar pedals for one?
I'd feel a lot stronger about the Agile if it had humbuckers... I feel kinda weird when I play badass metal with single coils, a-not-quite-evil-enough feeling that feels wrong.

I feel your pain Ryan and i really hope you are not getting troubles with Tanya for GASing such a high priced axe!
I dont think ESP would be up for a trade but you could always ask, you never know AND Burger666 also traded a lot of pedals for the Tele but that was with a shop and not directly with ESP

I was just kidding about that... but if any ESP reps are reading this and want 30 or 40 miniberators in exchange for a guitar that maybe fell off a truck, get a hold of me!
And yeah, I'm driving Tanya nuts with it! I'd probably have to sell every piece of gear I own before I'd be allowed or able to get a 5k guitar!
I was thinking though.. and I really think this could work, Dennis... let's buy the guitar together, with your money, and then we'll share it. We'll keep it here of course and you can come and play it any time you want, just hop on the Autobahn and drive on over!
Alternate idea, if about 1000 of us ILFers each put in about 4 or 5 bucks we could get one.. and then we'll keep it here, that part just makes sense, and then anybody can come over whenever they want and play for awhile.

I used to own an Agile AS-1000, the thing was just beautiful. It cost about $400 and played like $1,000. The fit, finish, action, etc... was perfect, but the pickups and the electronics were TERRIBLE!!!

The pots were scratchy and the pickups were super dull sounding.
BUT - if you were willing to throw down, you could replace a few things here and there and then an Agile would be freakin awesome. Some people never complain, but I am one to complain about my tone if anything is wrong.
I want an 8 string guitar from Agile! They look so cool, I would want to play math-rock on it though, NOT METAL.
So, Yes, they are good - but they are more like a good starting point to add on to.

I can answer the question of this thread now as yes, I do own an Agile guitar... and I like it a lot!
I ended up going with an Interceptor Pro, it's a 27" scale, neck-through, 7 string, with EMG pickups...
It's a great guitar, plays really nicely and sounds really good... I like it a lot more than the Jim Root Telecaster I picked up several months ago for a metal guitar. I think the EMGs sound really nice into a clean amp and the guitar is awesome for palm muting and power chording. I got it direct from their website for $690 which I think is a pretty good price for such a nice guitar. The fit and finish is really good and the knobs and switch feel really solid too, it doesn't feel cheap or 'affordable' at all.. but shoot, it was pretty affordable!
Two thumbs up, I'd recommend it to anybody looking for a 7 string to kick some butt with.

I've got an AL-2000 and I love it. The stock pickups were a bit thin and a little mushy, so I put some cheap-o GFS buckers in there and now it screams.
Back when I got mine it was $179 shipped. The pickups were like $35 for the set. Best value in a guitar I own, by far.
