So, my first post here. I should have signed up a long time ago, but once I saw that Dr. Scientist was in this - I had to.

I'll start out by saying that I used to have a Cosmichorus (V2 "Blue Sparkle Aliens"). I got it from Humbuckermusic.com - nice guys. They actually called me and asked me to confirm my color choice. They were as stoked as I was about getting the pedal. Anyway, I got it - pure yum. I freakin loved that thing and after about a month, I got GAS and decided to let it go to help fund my purchase of a HOG  :picard: I know. Big mistake, the HOG rocks, but is SO unessential - whereas the Cosmichorus is the best of both worlds. Wild and out there (what's he using?) type effects, AND (!) essential beautiful shimmering chorus. (mind you - the hog was cool, but it was just the novelty of it that was cool - it quickly faded).

So here I am now. I have total lust for a Cosmichorus again, and I know where to get one (I am just waiting to hear what colors they have). I am also super excited about the MRRR, my friend has a RRR and I think it rock my RV5 off the board for sure. I have had some nice delays in the past (Moog Analog delay, Skreddy Echo, DL4, etc....) and the next on my list is definitely a SDD. (When I get one, it has to be the Gloomy Day Delay....so.....ahhhhh).

All that to say that I see people saying here that they *bugged* :poke: Ryan to make them a certain pedal (with a certain finish or whatever) - and that he actually did it! :yay: So, when this happens, do you just order it directly from the source? Paypal? (did I mention I'm not a huge forum guy?) I really want these pedals and I'd be willing to wait for them a little while if I could get the finishes that I wanted. (also, I am sick of eBay and I just want to deal with people).

Thanks any info would be great! Also, I just want to add that I love this place already and I can't wait to get more acquainted with the community!!

Hey Alex, welcome to ILF!

Custom finishes are kind of a complicated subject... basically, Tanya just has less and less time for them but she still tries to accommodate them as much as possible. The way it needs to go down now is the customer has to provide the artwork, she just doesn't have time to run with ideas or to recreate things herself, so custom finishes are only being taken on if she's provided with the images in a way that works with her software and plotter. Simple shapes, outlines, or vector images and she can do a custom finish.

The other detail is that we only take on a few direct orders every 4 to 6 weeks. We officially sell only through stores but every month or so we sneak in some direct orders for repeat customers or people having a hard time tracking something down or that kinda thing.

Thanks for checking out our effects!

Thanks a lot Ryan. Good to know. Actually, it would have probably saved me a lot of money in the long run not to have known this, but hey. I love this forum. I get to speak with Dr. Scientist Himself. Oh.....snap! :yay: *my wife just saw what I was typing and she gave me "the look" :wha?: * uh oh!

PS: I plan on being a repeat offender. I NEED a complete set.
