Ohms question

I have a Peavey MS 412 cab that I hate and is 16 ohms. The sheffield 1290s are 16 ohms each. Guy is selling two c12ks for 80 bucks brand new that run at 8 ohms each. I'm not sure what the current speaker load is, but I was wondering if in parallel/series wiring, what adding them would do to the ohms. Do you need more info for an answer?

Yeah running two 8 ohms in series will get you 16 ohms basically... should be alright

If I remember correctly, it goes a little something like this...
In series, you add the ohms together. In parallel, you divide the ohms by number of speakers. In series/parallel, total ohms/impedance will match the ohms of the speaker(s).
