It's cool. It can do subtle stuff too, but wheres the fun in that.

Eh...it's very unique. However, I don't find it usable at all. It can get into a chorus-y sound on the mild settings, or even a slap-back (with or without the pitch shift), but the rest was overkill for my needs. It has been off my board for months now, and I'm selling it soon.

I returned my Rainbow Machine almost as quickly as I purchased it (like right after the demo was posted and the sale kicked in!).

I should note, I discovered my TL could do pretty much an identical effect and I still don't use it, def overkill for me. I've heard some cool noise/drone/loops crafted with a RM recently though....

So awesome

Volume is in the middle is that where it is in the signal chain??

I am new to volume pedals
not sure where to put it!

It is in the chain where it sits physically. I like my volume after dirt, so there is no discrepancy in gain when swelling.

I dig it a lot. Really versatile. I like to keep it a couple notches past subtle, since my amp always has some reverb going.

I feel like the Rainbow Machine is a love hate device that's definitely not for everyone. I called it when it first debuted, that they'd be in B/s/t for the people who realized that a little too late.

yahpers. and this is just on bass, which is way more finicky than y'all thinner thing flickers, but i kinda.... didna like the Rainbow at all. the Particle was that but with more stuff and more control to me, the Organizer is the simpler version that works better for what i'd actually use it for.

which.... actually kinda sucks. i was so WET for a pink pedal named Rainbow. damn disappointments

at first i thought i would have no use for a rainbow machine, then i ended up with one after a trade so i paired it with an expression pedal because i hadn't seen any demos using the expression control... i discovered it can do some really neat musical stuff aside from the crazy oscillations that you hear in every demo, especially paired with a digitech whammy and an ehx freeze before it. the subtle modulation sounds you can get from it are really full sounding, and i'd imagine it's even more neato in an effects loop of a delay or verb.

Yeah, would have been my guess too. After dirt and before delay and reverb works for me quite good.

Nice board! Is that Reaper red sparkle?!

You bros use a low impedance volume pedal if it sits post dirt or what?

+1

I have never heard any pedal like it, I love mine and will keep until I am dead.
