Has anyone tried WMD?
I love WMD. At least half my setup is WMD:

I'm probably biased because I live in Denver and at this point I count William and Alex as friends. At this point, I'll probably buy everything. The Synchrodyne + Exp is probably my favorite. Got a bunch of MME+Exps because I love that envelope core so much. It's the same core in the Javelin, so highly recommend that (And avoid the ADSRVCA). So yeah, LOVE WMD.
WOW!!!

a sine wave through a filter should sound like a sine wave going through a vca with no filter. in theory there is no way to tell if a pure sine has gone through a filter or a vca unless the sine is not a pure sine. moog modular sine waves are notorious for overdrive. I think this might be either confirmation bias or you have dirty sines. I love dirty sines so that is not a bad thing either.

this sounds amazing. like nothing I have ever heard before. this is better than distortion. way more stuff going on with the harmonics. I love demos like this because they show things the other demos don't.

anybody use the Prok drum modules? i like the 2hp drums, but get frustrated with the limited range. especially the Kick. have rhe BD, SN and HH Proks coming in early next week i hope.
.... i know you can load any firmware on any module now, but i like labeled panels that match what's inside. probably going to leave them as is.

Pretty sure mylarmelodies had them Proks in one of his live set-ups. One cannot generally go wrong emulating mylarmelodies.
As for myself, I have just procured a rack-mountable 6u Doepfer case to complement my new obsession with 1990s digital rack modules. I'm not really sure what to drop in there. I guess an analog voice and a sequencer + some modulation + some random? I have pretty much everything else covered with the racks. Would be cool to get some kind of CV --> MIDI thing to fucks with the 90s gear but that seems hopelessly complicated to my monkey brains.
EDIT: ooh

That looks alright. I've not played with this personally.
Doepfer seems to make a couple of things?

Or this

I only did a couple of minutes googling when bored at work tbh

I don't want to go down the rabbit hole of actually figuring it all out

don't worry about automation with midi. just make sure you have lots of VCA and crossfaders and panners. clean gain and attentuators to go in and out of the modular. you should grab a matrix mixer from me. having rack delays with a matrix mixer is

The Befaco VCMC is excellent, and they just released a new smaller (lighter on features also) VC Thing (I think that's the name.)

over on an another forum I announced that I would give a %30 off discount for people in Europe + Australia so that you end up paying the same amount as the americans after you pay the import fees. I wanted to give everyone a chance to buy a matrix mixer from me. I realize $240 USD + UK taxes would price it out of range for most people so I fixed it. you pay $168 US.
